Filmed at María Isabel Rueda's home in Puerto Colombia with a full-spectrum camera that reveals ultraviolet light, El furó de la sombra [Shadow's Fury] stems from a long-distance exchange between the artist and Santiago Pinyol, triggered by a seemingly simple observation: for the first time
in years, the Plum tree in Rueda's garden had not borne fruit during Carnival season.
This apparent triviality becomes the starting point for a work that explores the dual embodiment of an oracle: both as a human being and as a concrete space of ritual and mysticism. The full-spectrum camera portrays reality under an eerie image, inching us closer to what cannot be seen.
Cast: Maria Isabel Rueda, Bobby Cruz, Adriana Martinez Barón, Nina Naranjo, Toti (cat).
Direction, edition, camera: Santiago Pinyol
